A local government authority in Morpeth is seeking a Senior Planning Officer for managing planning applications. The role involves presenting reports to committees, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate should hold a relevant degree and have at least 3 years' planning experience. A UK driving license is required. The position offers 26 days annual leave plus benefits.
A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Planning Officer within the Development Management Service. You will be responsible for a personal caseload comprising a high proportion of major and other planning applications received from across the County. This is a unique and exciting, yet challenging role, that would suit anyone with the requisite requirements. In this role, you will also be required to present reports on behalf of the Service to the Planning Committee, assess and sign off officer reports, assist and mentor officers and technicians and provide advice and guidance where required. If you have a sound working knowledge of the development management process along with a positive attitude and a wish to seek and deliver solutions, then we would like to hear from you.
