Job summary

Laing O'Rourke in the UK is seeking a Planning Manager (AI Optimisation) to join Akordi's Services team. You will blend traditional planning with AI-driven analytics, simulation modelling and optimisation to improve certainty on large infrastructure programmes.

Working with data specialists, delivery teams and clients, you will produce evidence-based reports, run workshops and help set strategy across NEC, PACE and GRIP delivery frameworks.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering construction or infrastructure projects.
• On-site or project environment experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and delivery strategies.
• Strong analytical, presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Use simulation, modelling and optimisation to support scheduling and re-baselining.
• Analyse schedules with AI-enabled platform for time, cost, risk, and resources.
• Produce clear reports, dashboards and visuals for stakeholders.
• Facilitate planning workshops and schedule reviews with clients and project teams.
• Collaborate with Service Design & Delivery and global specialists to improve services.
• Ensure assessments align with UK delivery frameworks (NEC, PACE, GRIP/GRIP Lite).
