Job summary

Pirelli UK Tyres Ltd invites applications for a Planning Assistant undergraduate placement in Burton on Trent. The role supports the Planning Department, coordinating intercompany materials and planning, with some time in the factory.

The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience with SAP and Excel, handle admin tasks, and assist with purchase orders and supplier communications in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent administrative skills and very good attention to detail.
• Teamworking skills, able to work alone and unsupervised.
• Good verbal and written communication for frequent telephone/email use.
• MS Office proficiency, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support admin tasks such as tracking reports for raw material arrivals at Burton-on-Trent and Carlisle sites.
• Book container arrivals for Burton and Carlisle sites via agent website.
• Coordinate with suppliers and other Pirelli factories to ensure import/export documentation is provided to the Customs Agent through the Cudos System.
• Create purchase orders as required.
• Extensive use of Excel and SAP in daily tasks.
• Assist with a work-based project within the planning department.
