Service Care Solutions is currently working alongside a popular local authority based in Northumberland, which is seeking an experienced Planning and Highway Solicitor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to progress in your career and gain experience in the legal industry.

This role pays a competitive rate of:

  • Umbrella Rate: £50 - £55 ph
  • PAYE Inc. Rate: £44.10 - £48.44 ph

This role is on a contract basis for 3 months but has potential to extend and is on a Hybrid basis.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse and interpret planning documents, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
  • Able to handle high caseload in Planning and Highway from start to completion.
  • Prepare planning appeal documents and submissions to relevant planning authorities.
  • Attend Licensing, Planning, and other committees where legal advice and support is required to keep the Council safe from making unlawful decisions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Powerful understanding of planning laws, zoning regulations, land use policies, and highway regulations.
  • Effective attention to detail and organisational abilities.
