Planning Engineer

Company : Privately Owned Civil Engineering Contractor

Location : Birmingham, West Midlands

Salary : Up to £70,000 + Car / Allowance + Benefits

The Opportunity..

We’re working with an established civil engineering business with offices throughout the UK and an annual turnover of £400m+. Due to continued growth, they are looking to expand their team with the addition of a Planning Engineer to work in their Midlands region.

The Role..

The successful Planning Engineer will be responsible for the preparation of fully resourced tender, construction programmes, and logistics plans whilst supporting bids and live projects. You will provide support in the delivery of a diverse range of civil engineering projects, develop and maintain programmes, monitor progress and work closely with project teams to ensure works are delivered efficiently and on time.

About You..
  • A practical background in Site Management or Engineering is essential.
  • A strong understanding of site operations and construction sequencing within heavy civils, drainage, structures etc.
  • Exposure to planning software - Primavera P6 preferred (training can be provided for those with limited experience).
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts.
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline (preferred).
  • Ambitious, detail-oriented, and keen to develop a career in planning.
