Job summary

Rochford District Council is seeking a Senior Planning Enforcement Officer to lead on major schemes and manage enforcement caseloads. You should have 5+ years of planning enforcement experience, be well-organised, and a team player. A degree in Planning or equivalent is required, with RTPI chartered membership desirable or willingness to apply.

We are now looking for a Senior Planning Enforcement Officer to join our team. Whether you are already in a senior role and fancy a change or perhaps you have a Minimum 5 years full time working experience in planning enforcement with proven record of dealing with complex cases. Depending on your experience, in this post you will be required to assist with or lead on a number of major schemes and effectively manage a caseload of applications and appeals.

You must be extremely well-organised, self-motivated and flexible. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, forward thinking and a good team player.

It is essential that you either hold, a degree in Planning, other appropriate qualification or equivalent experience including in hearings or public inquiries.

Full chartered membership of the RTPI is desirable or be willing to apply for chartered membership when eligible. From time to time, deputise team leader in their absence. Full driving licence and use of own vehicle.
