Job summary

JMC Legal Recruitment is seeking a Planning Associate to join a Top 25 international firm's Leeds office. This is a 2–5 year PQE role within a Tier 1 Planning team, handling high-profile, complex matters that shape national infrastructure.

You will collaborate with the Infrastructure practice, gaining exposure to major projects across transport, energy and green energy sectors, with clear career progression and a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with 2 to 5 years PQE in Planning law.
• Experience managing complex planning matters for large clients.
• Proactive and commercially minded with excellent client handling and communication skills.
• A collaborative team player willing to support junior colleagues and contribute to business development.

Responsibilities

• Work on high-profile, complex planning matters at Tier 1 level.
• Collaborate with the Infrastructure practice to access a strong client base.
• Develop technical expertise and client relationship skills while handling development consent orders, s106s and related matters.
