Job summary

Burberry is seeking a skilled Planning & Procurement Co-ordinator to support the seamless flow of finished goods production at the Castleford site. You will align production planning, material availability and stakeholder communication to ensure demand is delivered efficiently and on time.

Working across Production, Cutting Room, CAD, Procurement and Planning, you will maintain accurate schedules, anticipate supply risks and help teams respond to changing priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, administration, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing support or another relevant operational environment.
• A relevant degree or technical qualification, or equivalent professional experience gained through an alternative route.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage several priorities to agreed deadlines.
• An analytical and practical approach to problem-solving, with the confidence to identify risks and propose considered solutions.
• Clear and collaborative communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across different teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office, with SAP or another ERP system and knowledge of production planning, procurement or inventory processes welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Release production orders to the factory floor in line with agreed production requirements.
• Maintain accurate production schedules and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Support production planning activities, including line planning and optimisation of new orders and update planning tools to reflect changing demand.
• Liaise closely with Cutting Room, CAD and Production teams to ensure priorities are understood and achieved.
• Monitor capacity and workload, escalating risks that may impact delivery performance.
• Monitor raw material availability and identify shortages that could impact production.
• Work closely with Raw Material Coordinators to resolve supply issues and minimise disruption.
• Track shortages, supply risks and recovery plans, providing timely updates to stakeholders.
• Monitor open orders and follow up on production completion rates and outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate planning data and support reporting activities.
• Provide cover for other team members during absences and peak periods.
• Support quality-related processes and reporting requirements.
• Contribute to the accuracy and integrity of planning, production and procurement information.
• Provide support across Bespoke, Sampling, Procurement and Product Administration activities when required.
• Raise purchase orders and support procurement administration activities as needed.
• Respond professionally to internal customer queries and operational requests.
• Support projects, seasonal peaks and continuous improvement initiatives across the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES
