Service Care Solutions is assisting a local authority in Oxfordshire to recruit an experienced Planning and Highways Lawyer to support a busy regulatory environment.

The role involves drafting and negotiating s106 and highway agreements, handling a range of planning matters, and requires a current practising certificate in England and Wales. This is a remote-friendly, contract-based assignment with a 3-month duration.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Planning and Highways Lawyer within the public sector.
• Hold a current Practising Certificate as a barrister, solicitor or legal executive in England and Wales.
• Recent experience drafting and advising on s106 agreements and highway agreements.

Job description

Service Care Solutions is working in partnership with a local authority, based in Oxfordshire, which is seeking an experienced Planning and Highways Lawyer to join its legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified legal professional with recent experience in planning and highways agreements to support a busy local authority environment.

Role: Planning and Highways Lawyer

Location: Oxfordshire (Remote Working Considered)

Umbrella Rate: £55-£60 per hour PAYE

Inc. Rate: £47.96 - £52.30 per hour

Contract Length: 3 months ongoing

Key Responsibilities

• Handle a range of planning and highways legal matters from start to completion.
• Drafting and advising on Section 106 (s106) agreements.
• Drafting and negotiating highway agreements.

Key Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Planning and Highways Lawyer within the public sector.
