Job summary

A leading housing developer in the United Kingdom is seeking a Planner / Senior Town Planner for their busy office in Winchester. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in Town Planning and will join a company known for promoting from within. This progressive role offers a chance to grow into a Planning Manager position while supporting planning applications across various sites. Hybrid working options are available.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in Town Planning.
  • Experience with Planning Consultancy, Local Authority, or Residential Developer.
  • Practical planning work experience.

  • Support the developer in driving through planning applications.
  • Utilize lists of Planning Consultants while managing own planning function.

Job description
Overview

Housing Developer urgently require a Planner / Senior Town Planner for their busy office in Winchester.

The company is long established, well funded and build a good product. They are very in tune with villages and towns throughout the south and will vary their product and layouts to fit in with the locations of proposed developments which helps them to secure planning permission on their schemes.

Sites will be between 60 - 200 units and they are still buying land, getting permissions and building out.

Role and team

This role will report into the Senior Planning Manager/ Head of Planning and will suit someone with a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience that has worked as a Town Planner with either a Planning Consultancy, Local Authority or Residential Developer.

This is a progressive role that will lead to a Planning Manager role and further as they have a track record of promotion from within and developing their staff to become the best.

Responsibilities

The role will be to support the developer in driving through planning applications for the various sites they have by using the list of Planning Consultants they utilise, you will still be doing a planning function in addition so will still develop your own planning skills in addition to managing planning consultants.
