CMR offers an exciting opportunity for a Planner to join our dynamic team. Be a part of shaping our future, supporting delivery of a substantial investment plan to develop and enhance infrastructure and facilities.

The Senior Planner will play a key role in CMR’s future, providing a full planning service for all assigned projects. Responsibilities include schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery plan development activities. Additionally, the Planner will provide technical support and guidance, including Work Breakdown Structure, Cost Breakdown Structure, and Resource Loading. The will assist on smaller projects (typically up to £20m) or support a Lead/Senior Planner on more complex projects.

What you’ll do:
  • Develop and maintain a robust delivery schedule with clear milestones, coordinating work sequences with the total project plan.
  • Perform schedule monitoring, identify critical activities, and assist in updating and monitoring the schedule.
  • Develop and apply installation rates, review and analyze contractor schedules, and provide recommendations to the project team.
  • Evaluate quantities, job hours, and schedule logic; prepare progress and performance reports.
  • Manage contract programme assessment, compensation events, and perform delay analysis.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Degree/Post-Grad level education in construction or business‑related field.
  • Experience as a planner on projects over £5m, with proficiency in Primavera (P6) and MS Excel.
  • Experience in planning infrastructure projects, performing quantity takeoffs, and statistical analysis.
  • Understanding of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction processes, and NEC contracts.
  • Strong communication skills, personal resilience, and ability to operate within ambiguity.
