This Planner reports to the Streetworks & Planning Manager and is the key contact for the operational team. The Planner is fully accountable for the planning and streetworks aspects of all works before they commence on site, ensuring activities align with push plans, requested dates and NRSWA compliance, while safeguarding company timescales and financial impacts.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend planning meetings
• Raise new permits
• Request CAD drawings
• Submit temporary works (TM) applications to the HA
• Request purchase orders (POs)
• Send granted permits for the following week
• Request early starts
• Process PMRs
• Handle any refusals
• Participate in council meetings & calls

Experience and Qualifications

• Previous experience in utilities preferred
• Familiarity with NRSWA
• Experience in a planning or coordinator role
• Strong prioritisation, multi‑tasking and ability to work under tight time pressures
• Excellent communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Logical mindset
