Your role

Are you a natural organiser with a knack for coordination and customer service? Join our team as a Planner, where you'll play a key role in ensuring our Field Service Engineers (FSEs) are in the right place at the right time.

This position is part of our Vacuum Technology Services Team at General Vacuum Europe, a division of Atlas Copco. It is responsible for coordinating the UK Field Service Team and can be based either in the UK or at our dedicated hub in Brno, Czech Republic, where a core part of the team is located (speaking English is therefore essential).

In this dynamic role, will:

  • Plan and schedule UK Field Service Engineers to ensure timely, efficient service delivery.
  • Coordinate open orders, ensuring parts and resources are available ahead of service visits.
  • Communicate with customers to confirm appointments and service details.
  • Track order progress, ensuring completion and follow‑up work is planned effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records in SAP to support reporting and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate regularly with the Operations Manager, internal teams, and service centres to resolve planning issues and meet customer needs.
  • Oversee material delivery for VTS contracts and act as the customer point of contact for equipment maintenance coordination.

To succeed, you will need

  • Proven ability to thrive in fast‑paced, complex environments with flexible planning skills
  • Experience in technical or support roles
  • Solid analytical and planning capabilities
  • Working knowledge of SAP; CRM and Service Management Systems experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure, think ahead, and continuously improve
