Job summary

An engineering recruitment firm is seeking a Planner to join their team in Hyde, UK. The Planner will be responsible for coordinating shipments and schedules, liaising across departments, and reporting on logistical issues. Ideal candidates will have experience in planning or logistics within a manufacturing environment, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with MRP systems. Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 7:30 am to 4:45 pm and Friday until 12:00 pm.

Qualifications

  • Experience working within a scheduling, planning or logistics position within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of Excel, including conditional formatting, pivot tables and look-up formulas.
  • Experience working with an MRP system would be desirable.

Responsibilities

Our engineering clients have an exciting opportunity for a Planner to join their growing team in Winchester.

The Planner will plan the flow of goods and materials for end-to-end process.

Responsibilities
Planning and Coordination

Coordinating shipments, and checking with planners on the production timelines to ensure on-time delivery.

Scheduling customer orders to ensure capacity plans are adhered to.

Self-management of time to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.

Communicating

Liaising with purchasers, planners and sales.

Providing reports on delivery and tracking.

Leasing with all areas of the business.

Weekly meetings with oversees part of the business.

Reporting

Face-to-face reporting to Line Manager of any logistical concerns or delays.

Weekly reporting of stock shortages and planning adherence.

Respects, and promote the safety and environmental regulations and practices, as well as internal controls rules (such DOA), or any Corporate / group standard processes.

Ideal Skills & Experience

Experience working within a scheduling, planning or logistics position within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Strong understanding of Excel, including conditional formatting, pivot tables and look-up formulas.

Experience working with an MRP system would be desirable.

Working hours

Monday Thursday 7 : 30am 4 : 45pm

Friday 7 : 30am 12 : 00
