Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Planned Care Lead to join our Primary Care team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B prison located near Bicester. HMP Bullingdon is a male prison with operational capacity of around 1,100.

Hours

37.5 hours working Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5:30pm (if covering a clinical shift) and 8-4pm. Some weekend working, max one weekend a month.

Salary

This position is full time; you will receive an annual salary up to £59,677 per annum FTE – depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide clinical leadership and day‑to‑day operational management to the registered nurses and care teams.
  • Deputise on behalf of the Deputy/Head of Healthcare when required.
  • Work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high‑quality clinical service for patients.
  • Ensure own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
  • Coach, line‑manage and develop clinician staff; support audits and governance.
  • Contribute to developing and reviewing clinical/non‑clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site.
  • Chair and facilitate specific health‑care meetings with the team and different partners.
  • Deliver workshops to develop the team's learning in clinical processes, documentation, patient care and joint Health‑Justice processes.
