A leading project consultancy firm in Birmingham seeks an Assistant Project Manager for a 12-month fully paid placement for undergraduate students. The role includes project management duties with hands-on experience in a professional office environment. Candidates should be pursuing an RICS, CIOB, or APM accredited degree and have a genuine passion for construction project management. Salary – £24,000 p/a
We are delighted to be accepting applications for our exciting 2026–2027 Placement Year Assistant Project Manager role in our Birmingham office. Our office is conveniently located in the heart of Birmingham and is approximately a 5‑minute walk from New Street station.
Our scheme is a 12‑month, fully paid placement scheme designed for candidates who want to get the most out of their placement year and maximise their time in industry.
This scheme is specifically targeted at undergraduate students seeking employment during their year in industry as part of a current degree course. Candidates must be available to work for a 12‑month period between September 2026 and August 2027 to be eligible for this role.
Whilst working with us you will receive structured, hands‑on experience in the consultancy Project Management role. All the time learning and developing your understanding of the key responsibilities of a Project Manager and gaining further insight into the construction industry. You will learn how an established construction consultancy operates and gain invaluable experience whilst working to proven and successful systems and procedures.
