Job summary

Cummins is seeking an enthusiastic Marine Project Management & Business Support Placement Student to join our UK Sales team in Wellingborough, starting Summer 2027.

You will learn how a global organization operates, gaining tools and exposure to become an industry expert. The role emphasizes cross‑functional collaboration, forecasting, reporting, and process improvement within the distribution business segment.

Open to students on a placement year with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Customer management and cross-functional collaboration with project supply chain and engineering teams.
• Forecasting sales in Europe, support and communication with the Sales team.
• Process Improvement projects including identification and streamlining.
• Financial reporting, forecasting, planning, and analysis.
• Project Management support with Supply Chain, supplier, and customer communications.
• Product Tailoring and Project reporting progress and risk.

Responsibilities

• Working towards a degree in Business/Engineering/Project Management/Marketing.
• Broad exposure to MS tools. Power BI knowledge would be beneficial; second European language would be beneficial.
• Strong time management, multitasking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and disciplined, with excellent teamworking, communication, and collaboration skills, demonstrating a proactive approach to sharing ideas.
