Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. is recruiting a Placement Broker for our London Broking team based in London. The role focuses on placing Property and Casualty business for our UK branch network, building strong relationships with underwriters and carriers to place business successfully.

You will join a close-knit team, support the business in market relations, risk presentations, and renewal negotiations, while contributing to strategy and market identification. Eligible to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Placement Broker desirable.
• Property & Casualty insurance knowledge advantageous.
• Willing to consider new business focused Account handler/Broker/Underwriter with Property & Casualty experience.
• Holding or working towards Cert CII/Dip CII desirable as is GCSE standard or equivalent.
• Worked to targets within a regulated, measurable framework and achieved SLAs.
• Risk aware in handling customer information; able to recognise potential risk and seek advice when required.
• Highly accurate with a strong attention to detail.
• Eligible to work in the UK.

Responsabilités

• Grow existing portfolio.
• Attend pipeline meetings with Insurers and present risk presentations.
• Deal with accounts queries.
• Attend client meetings and internal strategy meetings where required.
• Work closely with our wider Broking and Placement team.
• Assist in identifying relevant markets and support strategy.
• Assist with policy amendments and broking.
• Assist in renewal negotiations.
• Analyse programme structure to check for suitability and advise on restructures where necessary.

Overview

Gallagher are currently recruiting for a Placement Broker to join our London Broking team based in our London office. The role will be focusing on the placement of Property and Casualty business both new & existing on behalf of our UK branch network. You will be joining a close-knit team, supporting the business in building excellent relationships in the market with underwriters and carriers to successfully place business with them.

About You

• Previous experience as a Placement Broker is desirable.
• Property and Casualty insurance knowledge will be advantageous.
• Happy to consider a new business focused Account handler/Broker/Underwriter with Property and Casualty experience.
• Holding or working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications: Cert CII/Dip CII is desirable as is being educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
• Worked to targets within a regulated, measurable framework and achieved SLA’s.
• Risk aware in handling customer information. Able to recognise potential risk and seek advice when required.
• Highly accurate with a strong attention to detail.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
