Job summary

F&I Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Pitched Roofing Operative to join its specialist trades team. The role requires hands-on roofing experience and the ability to work safely and efficiently on scaffolding and roofs.

You will measure, install insulation, lay slates and tiles, and help maintain quality and safety on site, reporting to supervisors. The company provides training and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Roofing experience is essential.
• CSCS Card is required.
• Flexibility and ability to adapt within a team.

Responsibilities

• Removing or repairing damaged tiles or slates (stripping).
• Inspecting roof timbers for condition and stability.
• Measuring roof areas to determine required materials.
• Installing insulation and roofing felt.
• Fitting slates, tiles, sheets, or cladding.
• Applying waterproof membranes to flat roofs.
• Installing flashings around chimneys, windows, and walls (plastic or lead).
• Sealing roof joints with mortar.

• Roofing experience (required)

Key Responsibilities:
Your main duties will involve all aspects of pitched roofing, including but not limited to:
