Job summary

LMR Resourcing is seeking a Piping Designer for a contract role in West Wales with hybrid working. Proficiency with E3D is essential, and experience across Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Renewable Energy sectors is required.

Applicants should have EPC/EPCm exposure and familiarity with piping standards. The role involves developing piping and plant layouts, creating 3D models, participating in HAZOPs and design reviews, and producing construction-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with E3D is essential.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Renewable Energy sectors.
• Experience in EPC/EPCm environments.
• Knowledge of relevant piping standards and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce high-quality piping and plant layout designs, including 3D models, drawings, calculations, and design docs.
• Generate detailed models of plant aspects using E3D.
• Participate in HAZOPs, design reviews, and risk assessments for safe layouts.
• Work on multiple projects and manage changes with relevant stakeholders.
• Develop 3D models to support site queries and provide technical analysis.
• Produce documentation to support construction.

Piping Designer - Contract - West Wales / Hybrid

Location: West Wales / Hybrid

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Renewable Energy and Nuclear sectors.

Proficiency with E3D is essential.

The role is outside IR35.

Our client can accommodate some level of hybrid working but time in their offices in West Wales will be required.

Role & Responsibilities

• Develop and produce high-quality piping and plant layout designs, including 3D models, detailed drawings, technical calculations, and design documentation.
• Generating detailed models of multiple aspects of the plant using E3D.
• Participate in HAZOPs, design reviews, and risk assessments to develop safe, practical piping layouts and plant designs.
• Working potentially on multiple projects at any given time.
• Managing change and identifying, formalising and notifying relevant parties of changes in the project.
• Developing 3D models to support site queries.
• Contributing to site requests by providing technical analysis.
• Production of documentation to support construction.
