Job Title: Piping Construction Engineer

Location: Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset

This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air‑Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms.

The role

As a Piping Construction Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. This is your opportunity to make a tangible impact on the future of clean energy and national infrastructure, while developing your career in a dynamic and highly regulated environment.

Day‑to‑day, you’ll be
  • Coordinating and delivering piping specific construction documentation to support installation activities.
  • Monitoring work progression and team time allocation using project systems.
  • Reporting on installation progress and managing works scope in line with the project schedule.
  • Supporting and enabling other MEH teams to ensure a coordinated approach across disciplines.
  • Providing positive HSE leadership and ensuring compliance with nuclear safety and site licence requirements.

This is a permanent, full‑time position based at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset.

Essential experience of the Piping Construction Engineer
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of working in highly regulated sectors.
Qualifications for the Piping Construction Engineer
  • Hold a HNC qualification as minimum or equivalent vocational training in a relevant discipline.
  • CCNSG Safety Passport or ability to gain prior to starting.
Security Clearance
