Job summary

Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking a Pipeline Construction Engineer for a London-based contract role. You will apply offshore pipeline installation expertise across design, planning, and execution phases, coordinating with clients, contractors, and vessel teams to ensure safe, compliant delivery.

The role requires an engineering degree and proven offshore experience with lay methods, EPCI contractors, and offshore campaigns.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required in mechanical, civil, offshore, or marine disciplines.
• Proven offshore pipeline installation experience.
• Knowledge of lay methods and marine operations.
• Experience managing EPCI contractors and offshore campaigns.
• Exposure to carbon capture, oil & gas, or energy transition is advantageous.
• Ability to manage projects from planning through to start-up.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop optimal methods for installing and constructing offshore pipelines.
• Provide installation expertise during early design and engineering phases.
• Oversee pipelay, tie-ins, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Review contractor procedures, schedules, and installation calculations.
• Support the team offshore, addressing challenges as they arise.
• Act as liaison between engineers, contractors, vessel crews, and the client.
• Ensure all work aligns with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Identify and mitigate risks prior to offshore execution.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in mechanical, civil, offshore, marine, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience on offshore pipeline installation projects.
• Strong understanding of lay methods and marine operations.
• Experience managing EPCI contractors and offshore campaigns.
• Background in carbon capture, oil & gas, or energy transition sectors is advantageous.
