Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear, part of Babcock International Group, is seeking an experienced Pipefitter Supervisor for the UK’s Hinkley Point C project.

You will lead day-to-day piping and cabling activities, foster a strong safety culture, and ensure work is delivered to schedule on major nuclear construction efforts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pipefitter Supervisor on engineering projects.
• Nuclear power experience preferred.
• Experience on major construction projects.
• Relevant Skills Card and NVQ or Diploma Level 3 in a Relevant Discipline.
• CCNSG Safety Passport is required.
• LATS, SSSTS, SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely.

• Provide HSE front line leadership and demonstrate a positive safety culture.
• Guide the team to high productivity while prioritising safety.
• Ensure delivery of the agreed work scope within the timeframe and to required standards.
• Transmit clear instructions, specifications, and regulations to support team performance.

Job description

Play a pivotal role in building the UK's clean energy future. Work within the MEH Alliance, collaborating effectively to deliver complex piping and cabling systems. Provide & demonstrate a positive HSE front line leadership role, supporting & encouraging a positive Nuclear Safety Culture. Effectively guide the team to achieve high productivity while prioritising safety. Ensure efficient project completion, identify areas for improvement, and provide feedback. Effectively transmit instructions, specifications, and regulations to support optimal team performance. Guarantee adherence to all statutory, company, industry, and client requirements. Deliver the agreed work scope within the established timeframe.

• Proven experience as a Pipefitter Supervisor within an engineering project.
• Proven track record in nuclear power preferred.
• Experience working on major construction projects.
• Relevant Skills Card (where required), Relevant Professional Accreditation (NVQ or Diploma Level 3 Relevant Discipline)
• Must have a CCNSG Safety Passport
• LATS, SSSTS, SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely
