UEC Mechanical Engineering Ltd is recruiting experienced Pipefitters for a fixed-term project near Immingham, starting mid‑November 2026 and finishing May 2027. The role involves fabrication, preparation, assembly and installation of high and low-pressure piping systems to engineering specifications and safety standards.

NAECI-based terms apply, with 38 basic hours and 44 scheduled hours per week. Refinery or industrial experience is preferred, including ability to read drawings and weld prep,

Formación

• Strong knowledge of industrial piping systems, fabrication and installation techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and piping specifications.
• Experience preparing and assembling pipework for welding.
• Good understanding of health and safety within industrial environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilidades

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, piping specifications and technical instructions.
• Measure, cut, prepare and assemble pipework using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Prepare and position pipework and flanges for welding with correct alignment and spacing.
• Carry out pipe bending, threading, cutting and preparation activities.
• Inspect pipe preparations, tack-welded joints and assemblies for compliance.
• Install prefabricated pipework sections on site.
• Operate workshop and site machinery safely with proper training.
• Use oxy-fuel cutting and heating equipment as required.
• Assist with lifting and slinging operations using overhead cranes when trained.
• Perform Firewatch/Standby duties and maintain safety and housekeeping.
