Job summary

You will be responsible for installing and repairing heating pipework, attending breakdowns, and maintaining accurate job records. About the Client

Our client is a long‑established building services business delivering top‑tier heating and communal system solutions across London and the South East. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Commercial Pipework Fitter & Breakdown Engineer to join their expanding team.

Roles / Responsibilities
  • Install and repair commercial heating pipework and components on communal systems
  • Attend breakdowns and conduct fault‑finding on various heating systems
  • Install and repair domestic heating pipework and equipment, including:
    • Thermostatic radiator valves
    • Pumps and cylinders
    • Radiators
    • HIUs and associated components
  • Diagnose system faults and recommend solutions
  • Maintain accurate job records using internal systems
  • Participate in an out‑of‑hours emergency call‑out rota (1 in 6 weeks)
Qualifications
  • Experience with commercial and domestic heating systems (installations, maintenance, breakdowns)
  • HVAC / pipework background with strong practical knowledge
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent)
  • Understanding of residential and commercial communal systems
  • Full UK Driving Licence and ability to travel across the region
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Resides within commutable distance of Wandsworth
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
