A leading recruitment firm in Lincoln is seeking a Pipefitter Assembly Technician for a 6-month contract. The role involves bending and forming tubing using various tools, fitting pipe work assemblies, and preparing joints for welding. Candidates must have completed a recognised Apprenticeship and possess the capability to read engineering drawings. A rate of £38.00 per hour is offered.

Qualifications

  • Physically fit to carry out manual work based on a minimum 8hr shift.

Overview

Pipefitter Assembly Technician - Products & Machines

Location: Lincoln

Contract - 6 months +

Rate: £38.00 p/hr Umbrella

Responsibilities
  • To be able to bend and form tubing using hand bending tools ranging from ¼"- 1" tube.
  • To bend and form 1"- 3" using machine tool process.
  • Ability to identify tube and flange details in accordance to specifications.
  • Fitting, bending, forming and termination of small bore pipe work assemblies.
  • Setting up pipe fabrications, tacking in position ready for welding.
  • Assembly of pipe assemblies using "Swagelok" fittings.
  • The ability to prepare and set up pipe fabrications (weld joint preparation) to contract specific drawings and systems.
  • To have knowledge and clear understanding of engineering drawings, schematics and P&ID\'s.
  • Must be able to work under supervision by the Team leader/Cell Manager.
  • To maintain good house keeping and cleanliness within the department at all times and adhere to all current and new Health & Safety requirements.
  • Be physically fit carry out manual work based on a minimum 8hr shift within the manufacturing package build. To be able to lift within the restraints of the Manual Handling policy.
  • To have served a recognised Apprenticeship and attend Training courses when required
