Job summary

A leading engineering and fabrication company is seeking an experienced Pipefitter to join their team in Aberdeen. This temporary position has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. Responsibilities include fitting and installing carbon steel piping systems, working from drawings, and ensuring safety compliance. Proven Pipefitter experience and ability to read drawings are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an industrial or fabrication setting as a Pipefitter.
  • Ability to read drawings and ensure accurate installations.
  • Fabrication skills would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Fit, align, and install 3”–6” carbon steel pipework.
  • Read and interpret isometric drawings.
  • Carry out small-scale fabrication work as needed.

Job description
Overview

We’re working with a leading engineering and fabrication company who are seeking an experienced Pipefitter to join their team on a temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent contract for the right person.

You’ll be responsible for the fabrication, installation and fitting of carbon steel piping systems, working both in the workshop and on-site. You’ll work from isometric drawings and ensure all work is completed to exacting standards of quality and safety.

Main duties and responsibilities
  • Fitting, aligning and installing 3”–6” carbon steel pipework to specification.
  • Reading and interpreting isometric drawings and fabrication sketches.
  • Carrying out small-scale fabrication work where required.
  • Working closely with welders, fabricators and supervisors to ensure accurate installations.
  • Maintaining safe working practices at all times and follow site HSE procedures.
Applicants to this role require
  • Proven experience working as a Pipefitter in an industrial or fabrication setting
  • Strong background working with carbon steel pipe (3”–6”)
  • Ability to read drawings and complete accurate installations
  • Fabrication skills would be a strong advantage
  • Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work effectively as part of a team
