Overview

Job Title: Pipefitter (Shipbuilding)

Location: Govan & Scotstoun - Glasgow

Salary: £37,318 (Shift allowance of 33% (£49,632) for Back, Night & Weekend shifts)

Overtime Rates: Mon - Thurs: Time and a third; Friday: Time and a half for the first 4 hours, double time from then on; Saturday: Time and a half; Sunday: Double time

Shift patterns
  • Mon - Thurs: Day Shift 07:00-16:30; Back Shift 14:00-23:30; Night Shift 20:30-06:00
  • Fri - Sun: Weekend 07:00-19:30

Essential Experience / Qualifications
  • Trade papers, e.g., formal apprenticeship (ability to provide papers)
  • Current knowledge and experience of pipe manufacture and installation, and use of associated equipment
  • Clear understanding of SHE risks awareness
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and or at height
