Job Title: Pipe Fitter

Location: Gateshead

Salary: Up to 38k

Shifts: Day shift (Early finish Friday)

Job Description

As a Pipe Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and installing plant pipe systems across a busy industrial site. You\'ll carry out both planned maintenance and reactive repairs, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities
  • Maintaining and repairing pipe systems and associated mechanical equipment.
  • Supporting maintenance technicians and apprentices within the team.
  • Carrying out preventive maintenance (PM) and responding to work orders.
  • Reading, interpreting, and modifying pipe drawings and schematics.
  • Identifying, isolating, and removing redundant or faulty pipework.
  • Collaborating with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime.
  • Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
  • Attending maintenance meetings and maintaining accurate shift handover notes.
