Job summary

VGC is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Fitter for a project in East Tilbury. The role covers checking construction and earth-moving plant, diesel engines, hydraulics, pumps and compressors, ensuring safe operation.

You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, using digital reporting tools such as GMAO/Dalux/Frame to record inspections and work performed. Requires 2+ years' experience and a Blue CSCS card.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on mechanical fitting experience on construction plant.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Familiar with plant checking procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct plant checks on construction and earth-moving equipment including diesel engines, hydraulics, pumps and compressors.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance with hands-on approach.

Mechanical Fitter - East Tilbury

VGC Group are looking for experienced Fitter to start on a project in East Tilbury.

Main role: Mechanical fitter, checker to conduct Plant checking for Construction Plant, Earth Moving Plant, Diesel Engine, Hydraulic, Pump, Compressor, Plumbing etc.

With hands - on experience in plant and machine maintenance, conducting preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.

Must be familiar digital reporting (GMAO/Dalux/Frame inspection or maintenance reporting platform) with previous relevant experience
