Job summary

Vertage Group Portfolio is seeking a suitably qualified pipe fitter to join a live manufacturing facility in Glossop, SK13 7AJ. On-site duties include installing 1" to 4" OD stainless steel pipework and supporting brackets for new production machinery in a pilot plant.

Experience in stainless steel and carbon steel pipework within food, drink or petrochemical environments is essential. CSCS or CCNSG certification is required; IPAF is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience fitting stainless steel and carbon steel pipework in food, drink or petrochemical processing environments.
• Good all-round mechanical fitting experience.
• CSCS or CCNSG is required; IPAF is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install 1" to 4" OD stainless steel pipework on site to new production machinery.
• Install and secure pipe supports and brackets for pipework and equipment.
• Work with carbon steel pipework up to 6" where required.
• Modify pipe spools fabricated off site as needed.
• Maintain on-site safety and adherence to site procedures.

Job description

As a suitably qualified and experienced pipe fitter you will be working on site at a live manufacturing facility in Glossop, SK13 7AJ. Responsibilities will include installing new stainless steel process pipework to new production machinery and equipment in this new build pilot plant. Typical duties will include installing 1\" to 4\" OD thin wall stainless steel pipework, with schedule 10 stainless steel pipework up to 4\" diameter along with carbon steel up to 6\". Other duties will include fitting the associated pipe supports and brackets along with other associated metalwork. The pipe spools are fabricated off site so there maybe some modification works.

Demonstrable experience of fitting stainless steel and carbon steel pipework within a food, drink or petro chemical processing environment is essential. You'll also need to have good all-round mechanical fitting experience.

CSCS or CCNSG are required IPAF is preferred.

In return for your experience, you will receive an hourly rate between £30.00CIS and £35.00CIS per hour as well as a range of benefits.
