Job summary

Lonza Group Ltd. is looking for a Pilot Plant Scientist to join the Slough site, working within the Pilot Operations team to transfer new and existing processes from development into pilot‑scale operations.

You’ll gain hands‑on experience with process equipment, batch execution and analytical technologies used to manufacture medicines at the highest quality standards. You will collaborate with development scientists and transfer colleagues, support daily activities, review batch data for trends,

Qualifications

• Experience or foundational knowledge of upstream or downstream processing operations.
• Understanding of GMP, technical documentation and following procedures in regulated environments.
• Strong attention to detail and data trend recognition.

Responsibilities

• Support transfer of processes from development into pilot-scale operations for future manufacturing.
• Prepare and maintain process documentation and batch records with development teams.
• Operate pilot equipment and apply analytical technologies for daily activities.
• Collaborate with R&D and transfer teams to meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Review batch data to identify trends and contribute to process summaries.
• Follow health, safety, environmental and quality standards throughout activities.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in process efficiency and yield.
