Job summary

PwC UK in Manchester is seeking a Tax Compliance professional to support Pillar Two compliance, corporate tax returns, and tax accounting for a diverse client portfolio. You will manage data, review calculations, and deliver high-quality outputs while coordinating with global teams.

The role focuses on technical Pillar Two rules, UK GAAP/IFRS tax accounting, and mentoring junior staff, with a flexible, hybrid work pattern combining office, home, and client site.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of the global Pillar Two rules and filing requirements.
• Experience of preparing/reviewing transitional safe harbour and full rules calculations.
• Developed client service ethos and can adapt to meeting client needs.
• Ability to coach and mentor team members and work with remote colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of Pillar Two compliance services and lead engagements.
• Review and format data into standardised templates for tax compliance.
• Review and submission of corporation tax returns and tax accounting deliverables.
• Manage workload with client contact and contribute to budget monitoring.
• Provide clear feedback on quality and accuracy and support process improvements.

What Your Days Will Look Like

You will join our team of experts specialising in supporting clients with their Pillar Two Compliance, Corporate Tax Compliance and Tax Accounting obligations. Our clients range from multinationals to smaller mid-tier clients across a wide range of industry sectors, providing you with opportunities to broaden your technical knowledge.

You will work alongside other tax specialists managing a range of activities for the clients in your portfolio including:

• Delivery of Pillar Two compliance services, including leading engagements, data collection and analysis, review of Pillar Two compliance calculations, and submission of returns
• Reviewing the organisation, analysis, and formatting of raw data into standardised templates for tax compliance purposes
• Review and submission of corporation tax returns
• Review and submission of tax accounting deliverables
• Having a high level of client contact and being responsible for organising, monitoring and managing your own workload
• Coaching and mentoring team members
• Budget monitoring

This Role Is For You If

• Technical knowledge of the global Pillar Two rules and filing requirements
• Experience of preparing/reviewing transitional safe harbour and full rules calculations
• Strong UK corporate tax skills
• Must possess an accountancy or tax professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ATT, CTA or similar) (or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country.
• Developed client service ethos and can adopt a flexible approach to meeting client needs
• Be able to establish, build, and maintain a good working relationship with key decision makers
• Data literacy and analytical skills
• Working on a global basis with remote teams, including Delivery Centres
• The ability to provide clear, constructive feedback on quality and accuracy
• A continuous process improvement mindset
• Strong coaching skills
• Desirable to have UK GAAP and IFRS tax accounting experience
