Job summary

Roadhogs in Derbyshire, DE6, is looking for a Junior Pig Stockperson. If you are starting out in the pig industry and keen to learn, this role offers a clear pathway into a 600-sow breeding-to-finishing unit and a family-run environment.

The unit is being modernised and you'll work on a three-weekly system alongside the Pig Manager, gaining experience in serving, dry sow work, farrowing, piglet care and general stockmanship.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role suitable for those starting in pig production.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop in a family-run pig unit.
• Previous pig experience is helpful but not required.
• Commitment to animal welfare and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Serving and breeding tasks as part of a three-weekly cycle.
• Dry sow work and farrowing house duties.
• Piglet care and general stockmanship.
