Job summary

Ecowize - Southern Africa is seeking a reliable Picker/Packer to join our warehouse team. You will weigh, label, and pack goods for shipping and help load and unload vehicles.

You will receive, unpack, and check stock, pick orders from slips, and ensure correct stock is issued and dispatched daily. You will report damages and support stock counts as required.

Qualifications

• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to follow picking instructions accurately.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and check all incoming stock.
• Pick orders accurately according to picking slips.
• Ensure correct stock is issued and dispatched daily.
• Fulfils customer orders in a timely manner.
• Check products for any damages, reporting problems to management.
• Build and maintain product knowledge to assist with accurate picking and packing.
• Support warehouse administrators with monthly stock counting and stock variance reviews.
• Action back orders and communicate fulfilment issues pro-actively with warehouse administrators.
• Reports any mechanical problems on equipment.
• Highlight possible improvement opportunities to the warehouse manager.
• Follows good safety practices and work safe practices.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary work area.
• Participate in conducting warehouse stock counts as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Description

The Picker/Packer is responsible for picking and packing goods that enter and exit the warehouse. They prepare items for shipping by weighing, labeling, and packing goods for delivery. The Picker/Packer is also required to load and off-load vehicles.
