Job summary

Booker Group plc in the United Kingdom is hiring a Van Driver to join our delivery team. You will ensure on-time deliveries, accurately pick and dispatch goods, and provide first-class service to customers.

You will hold a full valid driving licence and be committed to safety and high standards of presentation. Overtime and shift patterns may apply to support busy periods.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full valid driving licence.
• Experience delivering goods to customers is desirable.
• Strong focus on punctuality, safety and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Accurately picking and dispatching goods using a handheld terminal.
• Loading stock into the vehicle and unloading at customer premises.
• Providing high-quality customer service during deliveries and addressing queries.
• Ensuring paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

About the role

Within this role you will have the opportunity as a permanent member of the team to join ourdelivery team.

You will join the business as a Van driver with a mix of duties, including pickingfor thedelivery teamwhich includes supporting the delivered operation in achieving first class customer service.

You will need a full driving license to be considered for this role.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

You will be responsible for

Responsible for the accurate picking and dispatch of goods bypicking against a hand held terminal and advising Manager of any differences.

Checking quality, shelf life and ensuring packaging is robust in preparation for Delivery.

Responsible for providing a high standard of customer service by processing deliveries efficientlyand to target.

Providing first class service to our customers when delivering their goods.

Being polite when dealing with delivery staff and responding appropriately to queries and complaints referring any complex situations to someone who can help.

You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.
