Job summary

Booker Group is hiring a Van driver in Queensferry for a permanent position with an 38-hour week. You will join the delivery team, handling picking, packing and delivery duties to ensure on-time, high-quality service for customers.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and be ready to work overtime as needed. Ongoing support and benefits accompany a role in a leading UK food & drink wholesaler.

Responsibilities

• Accurate picking and dispatch of goods using a handheld terminal.
• Check quality and shelf life; ensure packaging is robust for delivery.
• Provide high standard customer service by delivering efficiently and to target.
• Deliver to customers, load stock at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Complete paperwork accurately and respond to queries or complaints, escalating when needed.
• Support the delivery operation to achieve first-class service.

Within this role you will have the opportunity as a permanent member of the team to join ourdelivery team.

You will join the business as a Van driver with a mix of duties, including pickingfor thedelivery teamwhich includes supporting the delivered operation in achieving first class customer service.

You will need a full driving license to be considered for this role.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Main Responsibilities

Responsible for the accurate picking and dispatch of goods bypicking against a hand held terminal and advising Manager of any differences.

Checking quality, shelf life and ensuring packaging is robust in preparation for Delivery.

Responsible for providing a high standard of customer service by processing deliveries efficientlyand to target.

Providing first class service to our customers when delivering their goods.

Being polite when dealing with delivery staff and responding appropriately to queries and complaints referring any complex situations to someone who can help.

You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.
