Job summary

Booker Group is recruiting a van driver with additional picking duties for the delivery team in the United Kingdom. The role requires a full driving license and involves 3.5T deliveries, with responsibilities including picking goods and ensuring timely, high-quality service at customer sites.

You will work Tuesday to Saturday, totaling 38 hours per week, with duties spanning loading, dispatch, and accurate paperwork to support the delivery operation.

Responsibilities

• Pick and dispatch goods using a handheld terminal and report differences to the Manager.
• Check quality and shelf life; ensure packaging is robust for delivery.
• Provide high standard customer service during deliveries and handle queries politely.
• Load stock into the vehicle and unload at customer premises; complete paperwork accurately.

This role is for picking customer orders and also 3.5T driver for deliveries.

Within this role you will have the opportunity as a permanent member of the team to join ourdelivery team.

You will join the business as a Van driver with a mix of duties, including pickingfor thedelivery teamwhich includes supporting the delivered operation in achieving first class customer service.

You will need a full driving license to be considered for this role.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Main Responsibilities

Responsible for the accurate picking and dispatch of goods bypicking against a hand held terminal and advising Manager of any differences.

Checking quality, shelf life and ensuring packaging is robust in preparation for Delivery.

Responsible for providing a high standard of customer service by processing deliveries efficientlyand to target.

Providing first class service to our customers when delivering their goods.

Being polite when dealing with delivery staff and responding appropriately to queries and complaints referring any complex situations to someone who can help.

You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.
