Job description

The Role - PIA Quality Auditor

Location - Work from home, so flexible to consider any UK location.

6 month fixed term contract to start

Package - salary £35 - 40,000 plus pro rata benefits: 25 days holidays

This is a new position and we are looking to engage a PIA savvy auditor to join a quality assessment campaign that is going to be assessing PIA quality across PON's around the build areas for a client side FTTP / ISP business.

The brief for the role is for someone with a strong idea on what good quality (And bad quality) looks like on a PON using PIA and to access photos on a site per site basis and either sign the site off as being the required quality or, flagging the site as not being good enough which will then trigger an engineering visit to investigate in more detail.

This is a project assignment and the aim is to reduce a large number of unnecessary engineering visits when a study of good quality photographs will quickly establish if the site is clearly good, or on the flip side doesn't look great and calls for further investigation by way of an in person engineering visit.

Background wise, we think the role suits someone who has been an engineer working around the quality assurance / QA of the build / commissioning of PON's as that will give you the clear ability to study the information and make a decision. This is going to be a desk based position so it's going to require a good level of IT literacy but it will be a mix of the normal Microsoft Office 365 systems alongside some specific technology but that will be easy enough to learn and use.

Qualifications

At some point, you will have held the SA001 and SA002 as you'll be signing work off as fit for purpose so you need to understand standards and specification. In addition, any of the S5, S6, S7, S8 & S9 will be a bonus however to show some flexibility, we are happy to consider people that have held the tickets but they have now expired, so we don't expect you to recertify due to the remote nature of the role.
