Responsibilities

The post holder will work as part of the North Bristol Trust Physiotherapy Musculoskeletal Outpatient team under the supervision of a registered physiotherapist. Responsibilities include organising and implementing physical treatment sessions from treatment protocols, monitoring patient progress, adapting and progressing treatment plans with advice from qualified physiotherapy staff, and leading or assisting group rehabilitation sessions to promote exercise and self‑management skills. The role involves both direct patient contact and indirect duties such as booking patient appointments, coordinating patient groups, and liaising with the multi‑disciplinary team.

The post holder will participate in the weekend rota working on the trauma and orthopaedic wards, no more than one weekend day every four weeks. In addition, the post holder will work one weekend Bank holiday and one weekday Bank holiday per year.

Qualifications and skills

The post holder will be a versatile, adaptable team player with good organisational skills and competence using multiple computer systems. A good knowledge of IT is essential. The post holder will be encouraged to be proactive during the day, support the service, and take on delegated duties from the clinical team.
