Job description
Overview

Berkshire Healthcare are seeking an organised and motivated part-time (30 hours a week) MSK Physiotherapy Assistant role in the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Outpatient team based at Wokingham Hospital. Flexible working hours/ part time/ free staff parking/ no compulsory weekend working/ supported in-house and external training opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting the physiotherapists in the delivery of individual and group exercise programmes, including delivering exercise sessions, hands-on therapies such as massage, and patient education. Training is provided in any of the modalities used. All patients are initially assessed by the physiotherapist.
  • Ensuring stock and equipment levels are maintained and re-ordered on a regular basis and that equipment is well maintained and clean in line with infection control guidelines.
  • Carrying own patient caseload with simple predictable conditions delegated by a therapist.
  • Assisting in the administrative duties of the physiotherapy service when required, including reception duties, data inputting, photocopying, assisting with audits and completing patient records.
