Job summary

Spire Yale Hospital in Wrexham is recruiting a Physiotherapy Assistant to join a warm, friendly team on a part-time basis, covering 15 hours per week. You will work under the supervision of a qualified physiotherapist, provide support in care delivery and assist with basic assessments.

Ideal candidates are empathetic with strong communication and IT skills. A BTEC or NVQ in a related field is advantageous. There are opportunities for training, progression and a competitive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Provide general support under supervision of a qualified physiotherapist.

• Provide basic administrative tasks to maintain accurate records and an efficient service.
• Deal with enquiries from the public over the phone and via email professionally.
• Obtain verbal consent from patients before starting assessment or treatment.
• Demonstrate adequate competency in patient assessment as observed and signed off by a senior physiotherapist.

Physiotherapy Assistant | Physiotherapy | Wrexham | Part-Time (15 hours)

Spire Yale hospital are now recruiting a Physiotherapy Assistant to join their warm and friendly team on a part-time basis, covering 15hrs per week.

Spire Yale Hospital is located in Wrexham. Wrexham is only 12 miles from Chester and 30-50 minutes from Liverpool and Manchester. There are direct train links to London with a journey time of just over 2 hours. The Snowdonia National Park and the North Wales Coast are on our doorstep! We take pride in delivering high-quality care to patients across North Wales and the Borders.

Duties and responsibilities:

• To provide general support in the area of work under the direct/indirect supervision of a qualified physiotherapist. Supervision may be provided on the ward, in the department after treatment or by telephone.
• Assist in the delivery of care to meet individual's health and wellbeing needs.
• Correctly undertake basic assessment and treatment procedures, which have been delegated in relation to the specific patient, as agreed with the physiotherapy team.
• You will be required to provide basic administrative tasks to maintain accurate records and an efficient service.
• Deal with enquiries from the general public, both over the telephone and via email in a professional manner.
• Obtain verbal consent from patients before starting the assessment or treatment.
• Assistant must demonstrate an adequate level of competency in the assessment of patients. These competencies are role specific and must be observed and signed off by a senior physiotherapist.
