Medacs Healthcare is recruiting for a Functional Assessor (Registered Physiotherapist) in Redcar. The role involves non hands-on assessments to determine how health conditions affect daily living, with a hybrid model combining home and assessment-centre work.

The starting salary is £42,000, rising to £46,000 after accreditation and minimum site presence. On offer are structured pay progression, training, and long-term stability.

Qualifikationen

• NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions.
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident use of digital systems with typing speed of 35 WPM.
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles.
• Ability to produce high-quality written clinical reports.

Are you an NMC‑registered Nurse or HCPC‑registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist ready for a change from frontline clinical work, but keen to continue using your expertise?

As a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor at Medacs Healthcare, you'll complete Personal Independence Payment (PIP) functional assessments to understand how health conditions affect everyday life. This is a non‑hands‑on clinical role centred on clinical reasoning, analysis and report writing.

The hybrid working model combines home working with time at one of our assessment centres, offering predictable hours, long‑term stability and a healthier work-life balance.

*We offer a starting salary of £42,000, which will increase to £46,000 at 12 months once fully accredited and working from a site a minimum of 3 days per week. Annual salary reviews thereafter, performance related incentives and overtime also available.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles
• Confidence in producing high‑quality written clinical reports
