Job description

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physiotherapist to join our dynamic inpatient rehabilitation team. As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality physiotherapy services, helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their overall quality of life.

About the Role

As a Physiotherapist within the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals with a range of complex needs. Working within established professional and clinical guidelines, you will manage your own caseload, assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with a variety of conditions. Your role will include the development of treatment plans, setting goals in collaboration with patients, and providing a variety of therapeutic interventions.

You will also play a key role in service development, completing a service improvement project during each rotation, and building strong relationships with referring services and other clinical teams to enhance the delivery of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be an active member of the multidisciplinary clinical team, providing a Physiotherapy service within inpatient rehabilitation unit and community.
  • Work within professional standards and clinical guidelines, promote best practice and to undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner including assessing and treating own caseload of clients, with support of senior staff.
  • Be aware of and adhere to professional standards and organisational standards.
  • Build up and maintain key relationships with referring services and the band 5 rotational services to facilitate appropriate referrals and an understanding of the role of the Physiotherapist and the Multi-professional team.
  • Work in a variety of settings including clinics, client’s own home, residential care home, continuing care homes and community Centre’s.
  • Support self and service development through active participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD), In service training, and by participating in any audit or research being undertaken by the service.
  • Complete a service development project within each rotation.
