Job summary

The UK Sports Institute Limited, partnered with British Rowing, seeks a full-time physiotherapist to support the GB Para Rowing squad at the National Training Centre in Caversham.

You will join a high-performance team delivering daily physio, collaborating with coaches and medicine staff, and contributing to Paralympic preparation for Paris/LA cycles, with regular international travel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with high-performance sports teams.
• Experience with Para athletes preferred.
• Willingness to travel with the squad and work across a busy schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily physiotherapy to the GB Para Rowing squad.

• Use the High Performance Centre facilities for rehabilitation and services.

Job description

British Rowing and the UK Sports Institute are looking for a full-time physiotherapist to work with the GB Para Rowing squad at the GB Rowing Team National Training Centre in Caversham.

The Role

You will be a core member of a close-knit high-performance team, working with rowing and strength and conditioning coaches and science and medicine practitioners, as the squad works towards the LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032 Paralympic Games.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily physiotherapy delivery to the GB Para Rowing squad
• Work closely with rowing and S&C coaches and science and medicine colleagues
• Use the High Performance Centre at Bisham Abbey for S&C and specialist rehabilitation services
• Travel internationally for camps and competitions (around 80 days a year, usually in blocks of 13-16 days)

About You

• Extensive experience working with high-performance sports teams
• Experience with Para athletes is preferred
• Able to work in person, typically Monday-Wednesday, Friday and Saturday
