Medacs Healthcare is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in Barnsley. The role is hybrid, combining home working with assessment centres.

You will conduct PIP assessments, analyse medical evidence and produce detailed reports, leveraging your clinical expertise and strong communication skills. The position targets nurses and allied health professionals (NMC/HCPC registered) with UK experience, offering structured pay progression, an approval bonus, and a flexible hybrid

Salary: £39,500 - £41,000 per annum + OTE up to £47,150

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Are you an NMC-registered Nurse or HCPC-registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist ready for a change from frontline clinical work, but keen to continue using your expertise?

As a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor at Medacs Healthcare, you'll complete Personal Independence Payment (PIP) functional assessments to understand how health conditions affect everyday life. This is a non-hands-on clinical role centred on clinical reasoning, analysis and report writing.

The hybrid working model combines home working with time at one of our assessment centres, offering predictable hours, long-term stability and a healthier work-life balance.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

Essential:

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience

• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)

Desirable

• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles
• Confidence in producing high-quality written clinical reports
