To be Tasmanian is to value quality over quantity. We create, preserve, and protect the unusual. With quiet confidence, with passion and perseverance, we pursue the extraordinary. Could you be Tasmanian?
You can start your Physiotherapy career anywhere. What’s different about Tasmania is our culture and our lifestyle. You will be encouraged to be yourself, to learn, to grow and to develop meaning in your work. You will have a powerful connection to your patients, and the community will encourage your success. Our isolation helps drive a culture of creation and human connection, which feels both old fashioned and… like the only future worth pursuing.
Here you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to breath‑taking coastlines, National Parks, and incredible fresh produce crafted by locals. After a hard day at work, you don’t have to sit in traffic for an hour. You decompress with a wander through our beautiful city or put on your boots and go to a mountain.
We offer an exciting and rewarding place to work, featuring contemporary, evidence‑informed practice that sees our Physiotherapists closely linked to the broader multidisciplinary team. We are a team of some 80 staff, a mix of passionate locals and new Tasmanian adventurers who will welcome your energy and experiences into the group dynamic. Here, you can work and learn alongside highly accomplished Physios like Ianthe Boden, Jane Lockstone and John Cannell, while making a difference to the lives of a diverse and inclusive community.
We’ll look after you from the very beginning, ensuring you are fully welcomed into our culture. As an Allied Health group, we are dedicated to the development of our people and will work to help you achieve your goals. Imogen, one of our team members, would be most happy to hear from you to answer questions about her journey to Tasmania, and how she finds working in the health service and physio team: imogen.noone@ths.tas.gov.au
