Job summary

Marie Curie in Belfast seeks a Specialist Physiotherapist to assess and treat patients in our inpatient unit, outpatient department and the community. The Band 6 post works autonomously within a multidisciplinary team to deliver specialist physiotherapy with a compassionate, person-centred approach.

The role includes mentoring colleagues, contributing to quality improvement and delivering high standards of care across locations, pro rata to 14 hours per week.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as a physiotherapist.
• Degree in Physiotherapy.
• Experience in therapeutic and rehabilitative treatments.
• Strong understanding of palliative care principles.

Job Description

We're looking for a Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team at the Marie Curie Hospice, Belfast where you will assess and treat patients in our inpatient unit, outpatient department and the community.

The Physiotherapist is a Band 6 member of the multidisciplinary team, providing holistic, person centred care. The role includes assessing, planning and delivering specialist physiotherapy. Key responsibilities include acting as a resource for best practice, mentoring colleagues and contributing to quality improvement and team learning, all while maintaining a compassionate and professional approach.

Salary

Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 6 (aligned with AFC) £39,959 - £48,117 per annum plus enhancements (pro rata).

Contract

Permanent, part time, 14 hours per week. Shift pattern 08:30 - 16:30.

Belfast Hospice.

Qualifications

• Registered Physiotherapist on the HCPC register
• Degree in Physiotherapy
• Proven experience in therapeutic, rehabilitative and supportive treatments
• Strong understanding of palliative care principles and holistic needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice
• A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel across locations
