Cardiac Physiologist / Scientist – 2026

Are you an experienced Cardiac Physiologist/Scientist looking for a new challenge in 2026? We need a highly experienced, enthusiastic leader of exercise testing (ETT) and cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPEX).

Working for our organisation

As part of the clinical Group – Heart, Lung and Critical Care – we work with colleagues at the Brompton and Harefield sites to provide cardiac services spanning foetal and congenital, structural and imaging to heart failure and transplant. We are one of the foremost education providers for cardiac science with programmes from level 2 (Apprentice) to doctoral (HSST).

Responsibilities
  • Lead ETT/CPEX testing in a broad range of patients, including ACHD, heart failure, inherited conditions.
  • Expert in 12‑lead ECG (holding the SCST diploma) and primary point of contact for the ECG team.
  • Analyse Holter and ILR studies (24‑30 day duration) and perform invasive procedures when appropriate.
  • Maintain invasive skills in cath lab if experienced and participate in on‑call PAMI service.
