What We're Looking For
  • A qualified teacher (holding QTS or equivalent).
  • Experienced in teaching Physics at Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5 (A‑Level Physics).
  • Passionate about Physics and able to inspire students of all abilities.
  • An excellent classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills.
  • Committed to raising student achievement and fostering a love of science and scientific inquiry.
  • A collaborative team player who is willing to contribute to the wider school community.
  • Dedicated to their own professional development.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging Physics lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom / laboratory environment that promotes scientific inquiry, experimentation, and problem‑solving.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Science department and across the school.
  • Contribute to the development of the Physics curriculum and resources.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of laboratory equipment and materials.
  • Communicate effectively with parents / guardians regarding student progress.
  • Adhere to the school's safeguarding policies.
